Your vote
The wind fund is special in that the residents of Maerdy decide what is funded.
The projects have been published on the website. They will also be posted in the voting halls on the day. Come down and decide who gets the funding.
Anyone aged 15 and over and resident in Maerdy ward can vote.
Where and when
Maerdy Ex-Servicemens Club, 11am - 4pm on Saturday 29th November 2025
Please bring proof of address such as driving licence or a letter from an official body such as the council, bank, energy company. Please note that passports do not include your address.

Registration for online voting has now closed.

If you have already registered, you should still be able to place your online vote using the email received from Mi-Voice until midnight on Thursday 27th November.
Proxy vote
If you can’t get to the voting hall on the day you can submit a proxy vote by following these steps:
1.Decide on a proxy voter
2.Email or write to us in at least 2 days before the vote advising us of your name and address, reason for needing a proxy voter and the name of your proxy voter
3.Attach with your correspondence to us a copy of your proof of residency in M/T eg utility bill.
4.Give your proxy a copy of your letter to us, plus the original proof of residency document
5.Your proxy visits the vote hall, shows us the original documents and votes on your behalf
Sorry it is complicated, but we need to ensure it is robust.
Lastly, a proxy can only be a proxy for one person
